Washing Apples with Electrolyzed Water

Electrolyzed Water is used to wash apples effectively and cost-efficiently. A tremendous amount of process water is saved and the use of toxic chemicals is eliminated. Electrolyzed Water is onsite generated by an Aquastel EA-200 device and this allowed the management to reduce overall production costs and to become a fully organic producer of quality apples. We can report proudly that we have exceed our expectations. The special developed sandfilter uses, when backflushing, significant less water. On top of this, the sandfilters do not need to be replaced anymore and there is no need to refill all 100 ‘wash lanes’ with freshwater. Even after 6 months, the process water remains clear.
